Jeanne Staton is President and an active participant of Staton Companies since its inception in 1971. She brings with her extensive business experience in the trucking industry, and is highly proficient in most aspects of the business.
Being a woman in the male-dominated demolition business has never been a problem for Jeanne. She has worked hard to be accepted as a serious player in the industry. Jeanne is a past president and the first woman president of the of the Oregon-Columbia Chapter of the Associated General Contractors.
Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber appointed Jeanne to the Construction Contractors Board where she served until June of 2000. She is active in the National Association of Women in Construction. In 2007 Jeanne was named “Woman of the Year” by the National Association of Women in Construction.

A financial advisor and managing member of Clear Resource Group, operating as a Registered Investment Advisor, providing financial planning, coaching and consulting to institutions and individuals since 2004, Kirk was formerly partner in charge of the Moss Adams, LLP, Oregon Region Construction Industry Practice Group.
Kirk’s public accounting career began with the firm of Yergen and Meyer, LLP, in 1977, becoming partner in 1983 and Portland office managing partner in 1996. Working from the Moss Adams’ Portland office, Kirk provided consulting and financial services, including auditing, accounting, tax planning and tax compliance. Kirk focused much of his practice on the construction, real estate, and manufacturing industries, and wrote numerous articles on issues confronting those industries.
Brad Sullivan has successfully guided more than $450 million worth of bridge, highway and rail construction in the Pacific Northwest during his career at Hamilton. Brad excels at managing the construction of complex structural projects with unique challenges: sensitive waterways and environmental conditions, complex traffic staging and traffic control, high-profile urban projects, difficult site conditions, and historically significant structures.

Shelter Solutions LLC is a homebuilder and remodeler in the Portland metro area specializing in custom homes, accessory dwellings, and large additions and remodeling projects. Shelter Solutions is owned and operated by Joe Robertson, who has been a builder since graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Building Construction in 1976. Joe is a Certified Master Builder (state of Oregon), Certified Aging in Place Contractor (NAHB), and Certified Green Professional (NAHB).
Over his 37 years in the building business Joe has completed hundreds of high end custom homes, move-up and entry level homes, and numerous entire subdivisions including all site development. In 1998, Joe pioneered building Accessory Dwellings in the Portland Metro area, and continues to be a premier builder of ADUs today.
NWUCA of Oregon & Southwest Washington
Melinda Dailey is the Executive Director of the National Utility Contractors Association (NWUCA) of Oregon & Southwest Washington, a position that she has held since 2001. She attended both the University of Oregon and Portland State University where she majored in political science. She continues to be “very interested in the governmental process.”
Watts Heating and Cooling, Inc.
Loren is the owner of Watts Heating and Cooling, Inc. in Gladstone Oregon. Loren has been serving the Portland, OR area for decades. He is an active member or the Oregon Workforce coalition and a strong advocate for apprenticeship training.
Watts heating, a fixture in the Gladstone area, has been performing Watts Wednesdays for Gladstone High School students in an effort to introduce trades to our youth long before “workforce development” was even on the agendas of many organizations. He assists with tours of the school and participates on outside workforce development committees. He is dedicated to providing the best outcomes for the betterment of our community.

Dave Short has worked in the paving industry since the early 1980’s. Employed by S-2 Contractors, Inc. for more than 25 years, he currently serves as their Superintendent/ Estimator. Dave is a past president and long-term board member of NWUCA. He is a graduate of Lewis and Clark College and a member of their Sports Hall of Fame (baseball and basketball). He has raised two adult children with Janine, his wife of over 30 years.
