JOB DESCRIPTION
Brick masons construct walls, fireplaces, chimneys, industrial furnaces, kilns and other structures using brick, cement, cinder blocks, stone and marble.
They construct and remodel houses, commercial buildings, bridges, churches, and factories.
APPRENTICESHIP INFORMATION:

Brick Masons usually work outdoors in all types of weather. There is considerable bending and heavy lifting for most masonry work. At times masonry workers must work at heights.
Concrete blocks are used more than bricks, often weighing 30 pounds or more, which must be lifted with one hand.
Brick Mason Apprenticeship applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Classroom Hours: A minimum of 144 hours per year for 3 years.
On-the-Job Training: 6,000 hours (approx. 3 years).
Starting Wage: $20.32 /hr
Journey Worker (graduated): $40.63 /hr

- Attend 1/2 day of orientation and 1 day (split into two 1/2 days) of OSHA-10 training (unpaid training).
- Provide your ID information before the end of the month you intend to apply.

Complete the online application and select the date for the next Applicant Orientation.

Attend the Applicant Orientation to learn about the program and determine if you want to move forward with a State application. If you do, you will attend a 5-day safety week which will start the following Monday.

The official BOLI Apprenticeship Registration Agreement Form will be emailed to you upon completion of orientation.
4:
Required Documentation: Proof of age. Documentation for the applicant point system is optional, but more points will get you higher on the qualified applicant list.
5:
All minimum qualification documents must be submitted by noon the Thursday following orientation.
6:
Completion of UA will be done Thursday, following orientation.
