JOB DESCRIPTION
Concrete Finishers prepare and repair concrete, including pouring and finishing slabs, steps, wall tops, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, and paving.
They work with a variety of materials including terrazzo, magnasite, epoxy, polymer and other plastic materials for topping repair and injection.
APPRENTICESHIP INFORMATION:
Concrete Finishers prepare and repair concrete, including pouring and finishing slabs, steps, wall tops, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, and paving.
They work with a variety of materials including terrazzo, magnasite, epoxy, polymer and other plastic materials for topping repair and injection.
Concrete Finishing Apprenticeship applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Most of the work requires substantial bending and heavy lifting and is performed outdoors. Work conditions vary with each job.
Classroom Hours: A minimum of 144 hours per year for 3 years
On-the-Job Training: 6,000 hours (approx. 3 years)
Starting Wage: $18.98 /hr
Journey Worker (graduated): $31.63 /hr

APPLICATION INFORMATION:
- Provide proof of at least 18 years of age
- Submit documentation for points for ranking placement
- Points are awarded for: valid drivers license, military, education, certifications, work experience documented on company letterhead and completion of BOLI approved pre-apprenticeship.

- Attend 1/2 day of orientation and 1 day (split into two 1/2 days) of OSHA-10 training (unpaid training).
- Provide your ID information before the end of the month you intend to apply

Complete the online application and select the date for the next Applicant Orientation.
2:
Attend the Applicant Orientation to learn about the program and determine if you want to move forward with a State application. If you do, you will attend a 5-day safety week which will start the following Monday.

The official BOLI Apprenticeship Registration Agreement Form will be emailed to you upon completion of orientation.
4:
Required Documentation: Proof of age. Documentation for the applicant point system is optional, but more points will get you higher on the qualified applicant list.
5:
All minimum qualification documents must be submitted by noon the Thursday following orientation.
6:
Completion of UA will be done Thursday, following orientation.
