Management skills directly affect every company’s bottom line. Each day key decisions made by project managers are crucial to the success of every construction project and the company’s bottom line. The NWCOC Project Management Training program is certified by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). This evening course focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to be an effective manager of people, schedules, equipment and materials and is recommended for construction supervisors with at least five (5) years of front-line supervisory experience. Individuals with fewer years of experience may want to consider the "Supervisory Training Program (STP)", a 10-unit series of seminars covering essentially the same material at a somewhat less rigorous level. Entry-level supervisors who are transitioning from the construction trades to a supervisory role may want to consider the 16-hour "Introduction to Crew Leadership" course which covers similar material, but with the needs of the beginning supervisor in mind.
