Supervisory Training Program

Supervisory Training Program

Supervisory and management skills directly affect every company’s bottom line. The Supervisory Training Program (STP) is developed, updated and field-tested by and for contractors. The 6-unit certification program focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to be an effective front-line manager of people, schedules, equipment and materials. The seminars are offered in a two day format on Friday and Saturday, with the exception of Unit 5 which requires three days to complete and will be offered ThursdayFriday and Saturday.   The seminars are open to new and experienced superintendents, project engineers, project managers, contract administrators, safety officers and anyone who is interested in improving their supervisory skills.

Supervisors with less than two (2) years of construction supervisory experience may want to consider enrolling in Fundamentals of Crew Leadership prior to taking STP. Supervisors and managers with more than eight (8) years of supervisory/management experience may want to consider the Project Management course.
