COURSE INFORMATION:
This classroom-based course provides an overview of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) fall protection requirements and best practices.
Taught by an OSHA 1926 Construction Standard instructor.
Participants will develop the ability to recognize and anticipate potential fall hazards, helping to reduce the risk of workplace injuries and improve overall jobsite safety.
This course is intended for awareness-level training and does not qualify participants to serve as a “competent person.” That designation would be determined by the employer.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion in Fall Protection Awareness.
Teaching topics include…
- Identification of common fall hazards
- Proper use of participant-supplied fall protection equipment (including correct donning and doffing procedures)
- Daily inspection protocols
